The course includes 18 compulsory units: Know how to and carry out safe working practices in construction (Level 1) Knowledge of and use of information, quantities and communication with others 2 Knowledge of and use of building methods and construction technology 2 Know how to and apply plaster materials to external surfaces Knowledge of and fix dry lining and plasterboard products to interiors Know how to and form sand and cement screeds Know how to and produce plaster components Know how to and position and secure fibrous plaster components Know how to and apply plaster materials to internal surfaces Know how to and apply plaster materials to produce complex external surfaces Know how to and position and secure fibrous plaster components This programme also includes Functional English and Functional Maths.
This Level 2 qualification builds on the knowledge and skills gained at Level 1 and gives learners the opportunity to progress into employment and/or onto a higher level of training. The course is 2 days per week.
