The course includes practical and knowledge assignments covering 12 compulsory units: Know how to and carry out safe working practices in construction Knowledge of and use of information, quantities and communication with others 1 Knowledge of and use of building methods and construction technology 1 Know how to and prepare background surfaces and plaster materials Know how to and apply plaster materials to internal backgrounds Know how to and produce components from moulds This programme also includes Functional English, Functional Maths, Functional ICT and Personal and Social Development which will support the development of students.
We welcome applications from learners who have no previous qualifications in plastering. GCSE grades F and above including Maths and English or equivalent. All students will be interviewed and will need to present evidence of ability and an interest in the subject. All potential candidates would need to sit an Initial Assessment.
