This course suits those working for a local authority housing department, registered social landlord or voluntary housing organisation, who wants to develop their knowledge and skills. It explores the three core units for the CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing plus the six units for the Supported Housing Pathway. It covers subjects that include: social factors affecting housing in the UK, the delivery of housing services in the UK, professional practice skills for housing, funding and monitoring supported housing, introducing social welfare, housing and health, identifying the needs of supported housing clients, supported housing and housing related services, homelessness services and prevention.
Students will need to be working in a suitable job on a paid or voluntary basis and attend an assessment and interview.
