This course is to develop the skills required to care for children and to prepare for a career in the childcare industry. Students will study areas including investigating vocational areas of childcare, self development, respecting and valuing children, human growth and development, healthy living and nutrition, health and safety practices, supporting play activities for babies and young children, listening to and talking with young children, preparing for their next steps. After successful completion of the course they may progress to level 2 diploma in childcare and education.
