This degree provides a broad-based, multidisciplinary and applied programme of study, designed to prepare students for a career in administration and management in a wide variety of organisations within the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Year 1: Core modules; management and financial accounting; introduction to economics; introduction to business and management; introduction to marketing; quantitative methods; understanding society; law for non-lawyers; learning skills. Year 2: Core modules; principles of marketing; principles of organisation and management; research methods; company law for business; corporate governance and regulation; research proposal; identity and diversity. Year 3: Core modules; marketing strategy and management; entrepreneurship, capital and the firm; strategic management; human resources management; Britain and the EU; comparative public administration; optional module in law; optional module in sociology.
