Within the Department of Business and Management, all full-time undergraduate business programmes have been designed with a broadly common 1st year experience; therefore, students who successfully complete the 1st year of this economics and law programme, but feel that they would prefer to complete an alternative degree, can transfer to 1 of the other undergraduate business programmes.
Year 1: Management accounting; obligations 1: contract law; foundations of marketing; economics for business; managing people; personnel management. Year 2: performance management; the digital economy; contemporary management practice; human resource management at work; the UK economy; people resourcing. Year 3: strategic management; customer service excellence; European business environment; law for managers; human resource research project; employee relations.
