Course Description
Core modules taken by all students provide an introduction to major business disciplines such as finance, organisational behaviour and applied IT. The part-time HNC is a nationally recognised award aimed at managers or people with management potential who wish to enhance their career prospects. The HNC can be converted into an HND or honours degree via additional modules. Many HNC diplomates undertake professional qualifications or a Diploma in Management Studies, while some progress to MBA level

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 80 points, to include one 6-unit award or equivalent. General Studies will be accepted as a qualifying subject when it is one of two 6-unit awards. Key Skills may be included within the overall UCAS points score. Or: BTEC National Diploma in Business (or Certificate for HNC) or related programme, with a minimum of five Merit grades at Level 3. Plus GCSE (A-C): Mathematics and English Language. Key Skills: Application of Number qualification at Level 2 is accepted as an alternative to GCSE Mathematics. Applications from students studying an appropriate Access or Foundation programme are welcome. The University requires a Pass. Applications from mature students are welcome, especially if they have relevant experience. Applicants are considered on merit and by interview. Applications from international students with relevant experience or equivalent qualifications are welcome.
