All students are expected to undertake a training module in research methodology, as well as qualitative & quantitative techniques. Recent topics have included: Bridge Methods & the Valuation of Derivative Securities; Trade Unions; Service Specifications; & participation in Company Share Systems.

All candidates are expected to hold a Masters Degree or demonstrably equivalent work experience; in addition to submitting a 2000 word research proposal, incorporating a clear statement of research aims & methods.
