This programme has been designed to explore the processes and techniques whereby individuals or organisations can pursue opportunities to create value and growth; in exploring the basis of entrepreneurial activity, the programme develops the business and management skills essential in identifying and responding to opportunities, whilst offers the opportunity to apply theory to practice in undertaking live projects for local industry partners; as an integral element of the programme, students have the opportunity to develop their own business plans as an alternative to the final year research project, with the School�s industry partners also contributing to the process of guidance.
Year 1: Managing activities and people; business economics; researching business information; international business; business law; marketing for services; practical marketing application. Year 2: Applied marketing research; research and information analysis; analysing enterprise operations; human resources planning; finance for enterprise; enterprise start up studies; 1 option chosen from; applied e-business and e-marketing; supply chain management; social responsibility in business; voluntary initiative; modern languages; operational sales management; creative communications. Year 3: Strategic management; business risk management; contemporary entrepeneurial studies; research project; business plan research project; 1 option chosen from; social entrepreneurship; international marketing; modern languages and cultural studies; strategic human resources management; financial strategy; strategic e-business and e-marketing.
