Course Description
This course will help students to complete twelve units of study, a maximum of four each year. There is some degree of flexibility in the choice of units being offered in a year. All foundation units and some of the optional units have no prerequisites and can be taken in any of the three years. Subjects offered will be determined by student demand and staff availability. The units studied are introduction to economics, statistics 1 and mathematics 1, introduction to sociology, elements of accounting and finance, introduction to business and management, marketing, financial management, organisation theory, computer-based information systems, human resources management, management: international and comparative perspectives and analysis of strategic management.

Entry Requirements
Students should have eligible for the course if they are seventeen years of age and have two GCE A level plus at least three further subjects at GCSE or GCE O levels and can demonstrate competence in mathematics at par with a grade C in GCSE or GCE O level, the access route requirement applies where a student is seventeen years old before 1st september of the year of registration, has four passes at GCSE or GCE O level. Through this route, students can only register for two units in the first year rather than the usual four. All applicants are required to provide proof of competence in english acceptable to the University, IELTS overall score six with the minimum of 5.5 in each sub-test, TOEFL with the score of 580 plus TWE with a score of 4.5 or any other recognised test of proficiency at the level acceptable to the University.
