In this course students will learn how to use MySQL and PHP together to create web-enabled, database-driven applications. They will extend their web programming skills to manage data in web-enabled MySQL databases though a web-based interface powered by PHP. Topics include PHP database libraries, MySQL optimisation, web application security and application design strategies.
Students must have completed Introduction to Web Authoring using XHTML and CSS, Introduction to Database Technology, and Web Authoring using Dreamweaver.
