The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership is a non-profit organisation that helps people interested in growing, cooking and eating more healthy, local food. We provide a range of training and workshops.
Our Harvest project offers training courses on growing food, composting and preserving seasonal produce into jams, pickles and chutneys. Courses take place at allotment sites and central, indoor venues in Brighton & Hove. Our tutors are experienced gardeners and many of them are involved in award-winning local community gardens. Most courses are £10-25* depending on course length, with courses taking place during weekday evenings or on weekends. No previous experience of gardening is required and all courses focus on providing practical experience and tips that will help you get growing at home!
Visit the Harvest website for the full list of food growing courses and online booking.
Or visit the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership website for information on our cookery and nutrition courses.
*Through our funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the kind support of those paying full price for the courses, we are able to offer a limited number of subsidised course places (at £10 or £5 depending on the course length) for students and people on low wages and certain benefits. Please contact us or visit the website for more information.
