This qualification meets the needs of those who work or want to work in the bricklaying industry. It will enable the participants to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression within bricklaying. In order to achieve the city and guilds 6128 certificate, they will have undergo training on the following: health and safety and PPE; how to set out building lines; brick and block work; ensure walls are square and vertical; build a corner, a pillar, a pier and a cavity wall; English bond, Flemish bond, stretcher bond; how to do pointing for face work; how to put in a damp course; how to put in lintels and windows.
