Course Description
This course covers documentation, day books and ledgers, bank reconciliations, petty cash and trial balance. Also of interest to those wishing to keep the books for a small business.
Course Fees
£85 for workbook, £50 for postal support for Tutorial assignments, £25 for written 2 month query support. Complete course with all support £160. Learners are required to make their own arrangements for examinations at their own cost.
Assessment method
Each manual contains progress tests and answers which provide the learner with a means of self-assessment. There are 4 optional tutorial assignments and a mock examination which consolidate the knowledge acquired. Distance learning postal support is available at extra cost under which students may submit their tutorial assignments and mock examination for marking and comments. Postal support ends after one year if all the Tutorial assignments have not been submitted by then. An optional email or postal query service is available at extra cost providing answers for a period of 2 months from enrolment. Learners may arrange to enter the Pitman examination at their own expenses or may request an internal certificate on satisfactory completion of all the Tutorial assignments and the mock examination.
Entry Requirements
No entry requirements, but good numeracy and ability to calculate percentages on a calculator advisable.
