This course helps students to develop the knowledge and skills required for book-keeping at an intermediate level. Course content: Check and correct errors from entries in the ledger and day book Provide for depreciation of fixed assets using ledger accounts Prepare individual accounts in purchase and sales ledgers Account for accruals repayments bad debts and provide for doubtful debts Prepare purchase ledger control accounts and sales ledger control accounts Complete an extended trial balance After this course: Progression to level 3 qualification or employment.
Students need to hold a First Class Pass at level 1.
