One of the country’s leading land-based institutions, Bishop Burton College is set in stunning parkland just 3 miles west of the historic market town of Beverely.

It has a national reputation for quality as well as being the only specialist land-based college named as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) for both Agriculture and Equine and has its own commercial farm, equine unit and animal management facilities.

The College is investing £25 million in a campus redevelopment scheme. This includes a new Learning Resource Centre and library; suite of classrooms and workshops; Sports Hall and floodlit all weather pitches; student residential accommodation and catering facilities; equine arena and horse therapy rooms; animal management facilities including kennels and dog grooming; sheep, dairy and arable units.

Bishop Burton College offers a range of Further and Higher Education courses from entry level to Honours Degrees and Master Degrees. Courses are offered in subjects as diverse as Agriculture; Animal Management; Art & Design; Business; Early Years; Construction; Environmental Conservation; Equine; Floristry; Fisheries; Culinary Arts; Game & Wildlife Management; Gardening & Professional Horticulture; Land-based Engineering; Heritage; Planning & Development; Public Services; Sport; Travel & Tourism and Teacher Training.

The college provides an effective support network for all learners including welfare officers, sports development, careers service, chaplaincy and a warden service. All our learners receive outstanding guidance and support on their programmes and good advice on progression into employment or further training in their curriculum areas.

Entertainment
When you are new to Bishop Burton College, Freshers Week gives you the chance to sign up and get involved in everything from the Duke of Edinburgh scheme or the football team or a session in the gym. But something happens every day – film nights; karaoke discos; pool tournaments and quiz nights.

There's a huge variety of sporting activities from team sport (rugby, hockey,netball, clay pigeon shooting, football) to individual work outs in the gym. Several sports academies provide regular opportunities for you to follow both your academic studies and have the chance to become a professional within your chosen industry.

Bishop Burton is close to the cosmopolitan pubs, bars and restaurants of Beverley and Hull. For those who love shopping, York and Leeds are less than an hour's drive or within easy reach by bus or train.

The East Riding is also great for those who love the outdoors life, with a wide variety of outdoor pursuits on offer including walking, gliding, climbing and watersports.

Fees and Funding
Our tuition fees are only £2,470.00pa!
… and we offer “The Bishop Burton Bursary Package”
This is a generous bursary scheme for our undergraduate students who are studying for a full-time degree level qualification and you may be eligible for one of the below:

Students progressing within Bishop Burton College from Level 3 courses will receive a bursary of £750.00 per year regardless of family income

Students who have a home address that falls within the European Social fund Multiple Deprivation Index will be entitled to claim a bursary of £750.00 per year

All full time Foundation Degree students (excluding those who qualify for a bursary outlined above) will receive an Annual Welcome Bursary of £600.00 per year

All full time honours degree students (excluding those who qualify for a bursary outlined above) will receive an Annual Welcome Bursary of £400.00 per year
