The course develops an understanding of the complexity and diversity of life processes through the study of a range of modules including molecular biotechnology, immunology, cell biology and biochemistry, and developmental biology.
Year 1: Foundation year: biophysical science; biological basis for life; communication and study skills; health and nutrition; human biological systems; mathematics for bioscience. Year 2 to 4: Cell biology and biochemistry; introduction to the genome; human physiology and biomeasurement; immunology; molecular biotechnology; developmental biology; science communication and ethics; regenerative medicine; bioentrepreneurship and business and a research based dissertation.
