This course helps students understand better the science of modern biology and will enable them to apply this knowledge in a range of biological and forensic contexts; students develop their practical laboratory-based skills and transferable skills; students are introduced to related matters such as hands-on analysis, interpretation and presentation of evidence in a court setting and ethical issues resulting from technological advances in biotechnology, biomedicine and environmental technology.
