The Biochemistry course allows for the opportunity to study abroad or have a sandwich year; the course places particular emphasis on mammalian biochemistry and human disease, and provides integrated coverage of molecular biology; the Human Geography course focuses on the relationships between global processes and their local manifestations, the interdependence of people and places, the transformation of the political economy of the world system, the role of sustainability and its impact on the social construction of spaces and places, technological innovation and its reshaping of communities and landscape, and the social and cultural differences that stem from race, gender, age, class, health and poverty.
