Course Description
This course incorporates beauty and spa therapies with a grounding in business management and a scientific understanding of health, beauty and spa therapy practices. It is designed to focus on all aspects of the modern beauty and spa business. It encompasses therapeutic studies, science and management in an integrated programme of studies over two years. Students experience a range of beauty therapy techniques including facial, body, spa, cosmetic treatments, and hair removal technology. Students will research a variety of products, treatments and technologies currently used in the industry to enable them to examine, analyse and evaluate new developments. Management and promotion of health, fitness and well being are included. Students explore a variety of complementary therapies and the physiological principles of exercise, nutrition and ageing currently popular in industry.
