This course is equally split between theory and practice. The qualification is made up of units, each one representing an area of skill. So you can experience a truly realistic working environment, theory days and a commercial salon day operate on a rota, which includes some twilight sessions. Subjects include manicure and pedicure treatments, facial treatments, salon reception duties, promotion of additional products or services to clients, eyelash and eyebrow treatments and hair removal using waxing techniques. You will also attend a short training course on the beauty industry's current treatment trends.
Students will need to take an aptitude test and attend an interview. They should be aged 16 to 18.
