Introduction to the Beauty Sector, how to present a professional image in a salon, hand care, skin care and basic makeup application. Students would also need to take part in an assisting role in the salon and work with other levels of learners in this curriculum area.
3 GCSEs grades D-F and have a genuine interest in the Beauty industry. Beauty experience would be an advantage. Candidates would need to have good communication skills with working with would need to have a calm and professional approach as they would be working with clients and will be assessed on their skills and knowledge in Beauty therapy. Candidates would also need to complete a Profiler Assessment test in Literacy & Numeracy and Written & Practical Assessment.
