This course is designed to give participants a strong basic foundation from which to build their skills and knowledge within the hospitality industry. It introduces the various concepts, properties and applications of patisserie as they progressively learn to prepare a wide selection of cakes, desserts and pastries. The demonstrations and practical sessions will lead them step-by-step through the basics of French patisserie. The topics include: basic doughs, introduction to creams and fillings, traditional desserts and cakes and basic French patisserie terminology.
Participants should be over 18years of age in order to apply. Participants should have completed High School Diploma if they are from USA or CAD; High School Certificate if they are Japan; GCSEs if they are form UK and CAP or Baccalaureate if they are from France or equivalent or mature participant status.
