In this course, students will study areas including musical theatre performance, singing skills, principles of acting, jazz dance, ballet, tap dance, contemporary dance, developing voice, singing skills, principles of acting, the healthy performer, historical context of performance, performing arts business, audition techniques. After successful completion of the course they could progress to university, drama college or enter a wide range of employment within the performing arts.
Students must have four GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably including Drama, English or an appropriate Level 2 qualification and also be required to attend an audition.
