In this course, students will study areas including positive relationships in CCLD, professional practice for 0-8 years, safeguarding children, positive environments for CCLD, children’s learning and play, special needs, vocational work experience in a nursery, pre-school or school. They may seek relevant employment in a nursery, as a nanny in a private home or as a children’s holiday rep. They may also progress to a higher education course, such as BA (Hons) early years education degree or playwork degrees.
Students must have four GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably including Maths and English at grade C or above or an appropriate BTEC Level 2 Diploma or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
