This course covers units: health, safety and welfare in construction and the built environment; electrical principles in building services engineering; sustainable construction; building services control systems; construction technology and design in construction and civil engineering; fluids static and dynamic in building services engineering; science and materials in construction and the built environment; ventilation and air conditioning design in building services engineering; mathematics in construction and the built environment; low temperature hot water heating in building services engineering; building services science; further mathematics in construction and the built environment.
Students should have: a BTEC First qualification in Building Services Engineering or related vocational area; GNVQ Intermediate in an appropriate vocational area; 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above, including Maths.
