This course is to gain valuable skills relevant to the fashion industry and to gain professional experience of fashion promotion through industry-led projects. It covers the main areas of fashion and clothing particularly those areas which are more specilialised to fashion promotion, including drawing development, fashion promotion, fashion buying, computer applications in fashion, digital imaging and advertising, fashion styling, fashion retail, fashion illustration, fashion marketing, fashion photography. Students will gain valuable skills relevant to this area of the fashion industry. It will integrate challenging projects containing diverse subject content. It offers opportunities for them to gain professional experience of fashion promotion, through industry-led projects with liaison with external companies and employer engagement taking place. They may progress to higher education, such as FdA/BA (Hons) fashion communication and marketing courses or BA (Hons) degrees in graphic design or photography. Alternatively, they could seek employment in the fashion industry, or pursue an apprenticeship.
