In this course, students will study areas including anatomy and physiology for health and social care, vocational experience in health and social care settings, communication and individual rights, individual needs within the health and social care sector, the impact of diet on health, lifespan development. After successful completion of the course with a merit or distinction grade, they may progress to BTEC level 3 extended diploma in health and social care or alternatively enter employment.
Students must have two GCSEs at grade D or above, including Maths and English, or an appropriate Introductory Diploma at Merit or Distinction grade or equivalent Level 1 qualification.
