This course covers units which include: understanding children’s development, keeping children safe, communication with children and adults, preparing and maintaining environments for childcare, supporting children’s play and learning, the development and care of babies and children under 3 and providing support for children with disabilities. Participants will also have the opportunity to achieve a qualification in Functional Mathematics or English as well as specialist awards in Food Hygiene, First Aid and Paediatric Life Support. It is also available for international participants.
Participants should have completed 2 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade A*-D and minimum of Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy which will be assessed at interview.
