In this course, students will cover all aspects of health and social care for a variety of age groups. They will be encouraged to develop the personal skills and qualities they need for work in a health and social care setting. They will also have the opportunity to investigate what professional health care workers do. Topics include preparing for work placement; health and social care needs; personal care in health and social care; job opportunities in health and social care.
Students should be aged between 16 to 18 years and they should have a Level 1 qualification in English or Maths, or 4 GCSE subjects at grade E and/or a keen interest in the health care sector.
