This course follows on from the HND Year 1 course and provides the participants with a more in-depth knowledge of Network Engineering and Telecommunication Systems. It is focused towards the fast-growing demands of the telecommunication industry and equips them with the skills needed for a career in this exciting sector. It includes telecommunication companies, mobile network operators, network technology companies, device and equipment manufacturers and industry regulators and government watchdogs. It covers units: IP networks, switch engineering, telecommunication business environment, networking infrastructure, network engineering project and internet server management.
Participants must be aged 18 or over and have a BTEC HNC in NETS with the units and have GCSE grades in English language where the GCSE examining board is not Cambridge or Edexcel or AQA, such participants must possess at minimum, a valid IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no more than one score in any discipline being less than 5.5.
