This course builds on the knowledge and skills acquired during the HNC. Participants will gain additional expertise enabling them to produce creative, original work, eventually developing an avant-garde design portfolio and also learn to implement their designs using and operating fashion oriented equipment. It will analyse a range of market sectors, enabling them to relate their work to the demands of a specific market. It covers units: cultural understanding in fashion, realising a fashion collection, design application in fashion, clothing manufacture production operations, techniques and processes in fashion and production techniques.
Participants must be aged 18 or over, BTEC HNC with the units and have GCSE grades in English language where the GCSE examining board is not Cambridge or Edexcel or AQA, such participants must possess at minimum, a valid IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no more than one score in any discipline being less than 5.5.
