This course aims to provide participants with the fundamental skills and knowledge required for developing business applications and solutions. It includes learning about computers and their makeup, the basics of creating and writing software, learning how to capture user requirements and design solutions, be they business applications or website design, using structured and pragmatic methods. Participants will be taught techniques of designing and creating databases, which account for a large portion of Global Information Systems and also learn about the background and developments in the converging technologies of ICT, Wireless, and Mobile systems. It gives participants the confidence to present their knowledge in the domain of mobile computing applications design and architecture, platform and technologies and to justify their recommendations. It covers units: computer platforms, systems analysis, programming concepts, data analysis and design, networking technology, web site design, object oriented programming, rapid prototyping, mobile application architecture, wireless and m-commerce solution project.
