This course is aimed at plumbers, heating engineers and ground work engineers who are looking to diversify in to this market. The code for sustainable homes is helping drive an increase in these water saving installations, especially in the new and self build markets. It looks at water usage in the domestic and commercial sectors and how they can reduce consumption through the use of these two technologies. Topics include: rainwater and greywater harvesting overview; legislation surrounding these technologies; health and safety, installation and commissioning; rainwater harvesting calculations and sizing; systems and components; water quality standards and their categories; installation and commissioning procedures; maintenance and fault finding; resources, external bodies and the code for sustainable homes; assessment.
