About this course

This course de-mystifies the ability to improvise music. By exploring the musical path from basic Country Blues to Jazz standards, you appreciate the importance of The Blues in the development of Jazz. Gain a solid foundation for improvisation, with an understanding of Jazz vocabulary and communication within a group of musicians. Building confidence through rhythm, riffs and scales, develop the skills and knowledge required to improvise, play tunes from memory and play confidently over chord sequences. Ideal preparation for the Blues Into Jazz continuing course (Level 2) and playing in a band

Learners should have some basic technical playing ability (able to find and play notes) and the willingness to �have a go�

the course material was good quite a slow pace probably because of the tutor which did not bring much excitement into the class.. She was experienced but very boooooring. I passed but not sure i learnt enough....more
