This course will give students the ability to generate great creative ideas as well as the skills to execute them. It is industry focused, with the emphasis on multi-disciplinary approaches to problem solving. They will learn to be equally at home using both traditional graphic and illustration media and the latest digital technology. Year 3 is the ‘portfolio level’ - the emphasis at this level being on building a portfolio of work as a preparation to entering the design profession. They will have the opportunity to enter national design competitions, and will work to a series of professional briefs. The module descriptions and documents are: competition briefs, negotiated project 3, self promotion, final major project, critical and cultural studies 3. On successful completion they may also progress to further study at postgraduate level.
