The Internal Quality Assurer Awards are at a Level 4 (2 Awards and 1 Certificate) and consist of a mix of units –competence-based and knowledge based:
Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - Level 4 (1 unit – 6 credits)
· This is a knowledge-only unit (ie Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment) and is for those who are interested in or need to know about internal quality assurance but who are not carrying out quality assurance themselves, eg experienced assessors or centre managers.
· You will attend a workshop and complete an assignment in order to prove your knowledge and understanding.
Once in a quality assurance role you could undertake one of the following qualifications:
Although there are no formal entry requirements, you must have experience of working as an Assessor prior to undertaking these qualifications. Also, you must be working with two assessors, each with a minimum of two learners of their own.
Please note that the Certificate qualification requires you have responsibility for members of the assessment team.
