The aim of this award is to provide you with the skills and knowledge to fulfill salon reception duites. You will develop skills which will enable you to to schedule and record appointments handle enquires from clients and external companies i.e. Hairdressing Manufacturers also to handle a variety of payment methods such as cash, credit or debit cards and vouchers. Your communication and organistional skills, professionalism and personal presentation are all important aspects of being a receptionist and you will have an opportunity to work in our reception area to develop these skills in a realistic working environment. We have clients booked in for a full range of Hairdressing and Beauty related treatments and you will assist with booking them in etc. You will need to complete a formal assignment to successfully complete the course. You will have to have to produce basic written assignment and complete practical observations in order to pass this Award.
You need to enjoy working with people and you should have an interest in Hairdressing or relating Industry. Have good communication and basic literacy skills in English are essential. Students must also wear all black, with flat black closed shoes during practical sessions, some applictans may need to buy these before enrolling.
