This course is designed for those with little or no experience in computing. Students will gain the underpinning knowledge that could aid progress to further education or employment. This qualification provides basic level skills and knowledge that could lead to further education in IT or related areas. It can offer those moving into their first job roles the confidence to work effectively with ICT and deal with tasks that are straightforward or routine. The units covered are Unit 101 Improving productivity using IT, Unit 127 Spreadsheet software, Unit 129 Word processing software. They can progress to further education or employment. This can lead to employment in: ICT or related areas.
We will assess your suitability for the course by assessment or if relevant on your previous experience.
