This course offers students a study of all aspects of sound engineering and is designed to train future professionals for the audio industry. Practical classes and hands-on studio time are supported by a theoretical understanding, giving them a thorough knowledge of a broad range of audio production related issues. It includes: acoustics, microphones, loudspeakers, mixing consoles, music production, signal processing, digital audio, live engineering, advanced MIDI and sequencing, electronics, synchronisation. Upon completion of the Diploma level they can progress towards a BA (Hons) Degree and gain 180 University credit points.
Participants must have a minimum age of 17 and must have completed a minimum of two grade C GCSEs or equivalent.
