The mix of skills learnt in this course would be valuable for persons working in a range of industries including food processing, provision, service, research, advice etc. This is however not intended to be a qualification to train someone as a medical or hospital nutritionist. It may be a stepping stone toward such a career; but nutrition experts who work in the sensitive area of treating serious nutritional disorders will normally require a Bachelors Degree from a University (which would be 6 years of part time study).
