Course Description
You may be a theatre manager, a gallery curator, a community arts worker, an orchestral fixer or the secretary of your local choral society. You may be starting out on a career as an artist or performer and want to learn how to promote your work to a wider audience. The course will help you to gain the training and skills necessary to make art happen, on tight budgets and in an increasingly competitive market. It will give you a deep and real understanding of the many and diverse processes that creative artists use. You will develop a real passion and commitment for the arts, but also be equipped with professional skills grounded in real life and drawn from direct experience of the arts world. Course comprises: Unit 1: Communicating the vision; Unit 2: Practical skills in Arts Management; Unit 3: Critical Planning in Art and Culture & Unit 4: Professional Landscapes.
Course Fees
Fees in 2008: £195 per unit of 3 days; £500 complete course of 4 units (36% reduction).
