Course Description
From Horus Cippi and Hypochephali to haircurlers and hairnets, you will review a diverse range of common Egyptian artefacts. How can we identify the material of an amulet, or date a scarab or shabti figure? What was the function of funerary cones and who wrote Letters to the Dead? Start to recognise a genuine antiquity from a fake and appreciate modern conservation techniques.
