Course Description
During the first term, students undertake a period of exploratory study which consists of four core areas - visual studies, design, cultural studies, technical studies and an introduction to specialist studies, which will form the basis of subsequent learning - fashion design and illustration, fashion textiles, fashion design manufacture and theatre, fashion photography, styling and makeup, and fashion accessories and footwear. Following this initial diagnostic stage, students select their specialist study area which is unique to each of the programmes and focuses on the acquisition of skills which aid creative and intellectual development. Each programme continues with the common core study areas and allows for additional specialisms according to the programme.
