Course Description
This one-year course is designed to prepare you for entry to degree-level art and design programmes. Its fast-paced curriculum is taught within a hard working but supportive atmosphere, helping you develop the skills you need to make the most of the next level of your education. The course provides a strong grounding in five main subject areas: Fine Art (including painting, 3D, mixed media and printmaking); Communication (including graphic design, typography and lens-based media).; Illustration (including sequential narrative and photography).; Three Dimensional Design (including architecture, interior, product and furniture design).; Fashion culture (including menswear, womenswear, fashion PR and photo journalism).
Entry Requirements
Typical offer is either of the following: One 6-unit award or two 3-unit awards; BTEC National Diploma: Fine Art or a named Design pathway; Vocational A-level: 12-unit award in Art and Design; Plus GCSE (A-C): three subjects or equivalent. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate that they will benefit from the completion of a foundation programme.
Venue Description
Childcare facilities are available on site. Early booking of sessions is strongly recommended due to high demand of limited places.
