This course has 'making and thinking' at the centre with the studio as the focus for all studies. Over two years you will gradually refine your own thoughtful Art and Design making as the basis for confident, self directed practice in the creative industries. Modules studied include: Year 1 - workshop practice, interdisciplinary studio practice, drawing systems and visual communications, digital applications, historical and contextual studies. Year 2 - disciplinary studio practice, independent studio practice, professional practice and career development, themes in extended essay, portfolio and exhibition.
Students should have Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, Level 3 Extended Diploma in an Art and Design subject, 12 unit A Level in Art and Design, 100 points A2 Level qualification.
