Course Description
This is a broad-based course as an introduction to Art and Design. It allows students to extend their skills and explore their potential. The course will allow students to develop their understanding of drawing and practical skills by exploring materials, processes and equipment in both 2D and 3D. They will also work in the specialist areas of Fine Art, Textiles, 3D Design and Ceramics. Alongside the studio studies, they will follow a complementary studies programme in historical and contextual studies. Information Technology and Basic Skills Development will be part of their study.

Assessment is by continuous internal assessment of your portfolio - there are no external examinations.

Entry Requirements
No formal entry qualifications are required, although candidates will need to show evidence of artistic ability and commitment to cope with the demands of the course.
