The Art Therapy short course is primarily experiential, with some theoretical input. It is designed for people who wish to find out more about art therapy while exploring and enhancing their own creativity. It enables the participants to develop self-awareness, self-esteem and self-confidence and opens up the world of art and self-expression. The Art Therapy course will cover group and individual therapeutic process and the healing aspects and positive change made possible by the use of art therapy. Specific approaches and applications of art therapy with a variety of different client or user groups will be examined. Motivation and commitment are necessary components for success on this course. Each term includes 2 additional Saturday classes (Dates TBC).
Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.
