Who were the Futurists? What is the difference between Op Art and Pop Art? Beginning with Cubism this course will discuss the main movements of the 20th century in five sessions and a Saturday morning visit to Tate Modern. Concepts will be clearly explained and the movements explored in relationship to social and political history. This course can be taken on its own or as an extension to An Introduction to the History of European Art.
