Course Description
The course is made up of six units: four core units and two optional.All students take the following core units; Explore visual language; Explore materials, techniques and processes; Explore and develop art, design and media ideas; Carry out a personal project.Optional units provide an introduction to visual arts areas such as; 3D design; Graphic design; Fashion; Multimedia; Photography.You will also learn the Key Skills of Communication, Numeracy and Information Technology, and there is specialist help with English and Mathematics where needed.
Assessment method
Your work is graded via continuous assessment and will be formally evaluated at least every six weeks, with a portfolio feedback session once per term.
Entry Requirements
You do not need any previous qualifications. You will do a short test in English and Maths and have an interview to assess your level and enable us to place you on a course that meets your needs.

Venue Description
The Kentish Town Centre is home to a wide range of visual arts subjects and offers a large number of courses leading to accreditation. We also offer a huge number of courses for adults - English (ESOL) and basic literacy and numeracy. As with all of our sites this centre has its own library/learning centre and also has childcare provision.
